Programme & Pricing

Programme & Pricing

What is EFTR® Practitioner Certification?

EFTR® Practitioner Certification is one progressive professional training pathway consisting of eight modules across four levels. Students remain EFTR® students until all certification requirements have been successfully completed.

Can I pay one level at a time?

Yes. Students may pay for the full pathway upfront or progress and pay level by level. Level-by-level payment means you are not required to financially commit to all four levels in advance. It does not make the individual levels standalone EFTR® qualifications.

What is the cheapest way to complete the pathway?

The full pathway upfront is US $8,700, compared with US $9,400 when all four levels are purchased individually — a US $700 upfront commitment saving.

Is there a Community member discount?

Yes. Active Equine Fascia Somatics Community members who have maintained membership for at least three consecutive months receive 15% off Levels 3 and 4 when those levels are purchased individually. The discount does not apply to Levels 1 or 2 and cannot be combined with the discounted full-pathway price or other promotional or transition pricing.

How much is the Community discount on Levels 3 and 4?

At current pricing, 15% off Level 3 saves US $367.50 and 15% off Level 4 saves US $382.50 — a maximum tuition saving of US $750 across the two levels.

Teaching & Practical Training

Teaching & Practical Training

Who teaches the theory?

Liza Kimble teaches one live online Zoom theory session for each of Modules 1 to 5, supported by Online Academy learning material. Modules 6 to 8 theory is completed through the Online Academy.

Who teaches the practical training?

Regional EFTR® Trainers deliver practical Modules 1 to 5. Practical Modules 6, 7 and 8 are completed personally with Liza Kimble as part of the annual advanced intensive.

How long are the practicals?

Modules 1 and 2 are delivered together as a four-day Level 1 regional practical. Modules 3 and 4 are delivered together as a four-day Level 2 regional practical. Module 5 has a three-day regional practical. Modules 6 to 8 form an advanced intensive with Liza across seven calendar days — six teaching days and one rest and integration day.

Is practical attendance compulsory?

Yes. Required practical training must be attended in person. Online theory or recordings cannot replace compulsory practical attendance.

Case Studies & Anatomy

Case Studies & Anatomy

What case studies are required?

Students complete 5 horses × 5 sessions per level, giving 25 case-study sessions per level and 100 across the complete pathway. Case studies are submitted per level to Liza Kimble for personal review and feedback.

Can I charge for case-study sessions?

No. EFTR® case-study sessions are training sessions and may not be charged for.

Does completing the required number of case studies guarantee approval?

No. Completion of the numerical requirement alone does not guarantee approval. The work must meet the Academy's required standard.

Is Equine Anatomy & Physiology included?

No. Ivana Lange's Anatomy in Layers is a required course, purchased separately from your EFTR® programme fee. Enrolled students receive an Academy discount code at the start of Level 2 — usually US $400, discounted to US $200 with the code. Students are advised to complete and pass the course before finishing Level 3. Students with an appropriate existing Equine A&P qualification may submit proof for exemption review.

Is Human Anatomy & Physiology required?

No. Human A&P is not a certification requirement for the EFTR® Practitioner pathway.

Assessment & Certification

Assessment & Certification

How do the quizzes work?

Online learning checks use quizzes with a 100% pass mark. Students may retake quizzes until they pass.

What is the final assessment?

Following all eight modules, students complete a formal Final Practitioner Assessment with an 80% pass mark. It is currently expected to take the form of a questionnaire, with the final format confirmed to enrolled students.

When am I allowed to call myself an EFTR® Practitioner?

Only after all four levels, all eight modules, required theory, compulsory practical training, Equine A&P or an accepted exemption, approved case studies, final assessment and required competency standards have been successfully completed and certification has been awarded.

Can I advertise that I have “done EFTR®” after one level?

Individual levels form part of the complete EFTR® Practitioner Certification pathway and do not constitute an EFTR® qualification, certification or practitioner status. Students should represent themselves as EFTR® students until full certification has been awarded.

Logistics

Logistics

How long do I have access to the online learning material?

Each enrolled EFTR® level includes 12 months of access to its associated online learning material. Standard Academy learning material is not provided as downloadable course content.

What language is the training delivered in?

German-speaking EFTR® cohorts are taught in German. English cohorts are taught in English. Students participating in training delivered in a language that is not their first language are encouraged to use a translation app for additional support.

How many students are required for a regional practical?

A minimum of five students is required for a regional practical cohort. Additional cohorts may be opened where registrations and trainer availability allow.

What happens if I join late?

Late entry using authorised recorded theory may be possible only where the relevant practical training has not yet begun and there is sufficient time to catch up. Once the practical component has started, students would normally join a later intake.

Are travel and accommodation included?

No. Students are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, transport and meals. The Academy will provide tea and coffee.

Are the course fees in US dollars?

Yes. Official UK and EU programme pricing is in US dollars. South African pricing is managed separately.

Community & Ongoing Status

Community & Ongoing Practitioner Status

Do I need Community membership while I am a student?

Full Community membership is not required simply to be an EFTR® student. Active students may receive access to selected Community Zoom sessions and webinars and dedicated student communication channels. This does not constitute full Community membership.

Is Community membership required after certification?

Yes. Certified EFTR® Practitioners are required to remain active members of the Equine Fascia Somatics Community to remain active, current and listed within the Academy framework. A three-month grace period applies after a lapse.

Is there a refresher requirement?

Yes. Certified EFTR® Practitioners are required to complete an EFTR® refresher every two years. The Academy will communicate the format and rate.

Legal & Professional Scope

Legal & Professional Scope

Does EFTR® give me veterinary or medical authority?

No. EFTR® is a competency-based certification awarded by the Liza Kimble Academy, not a government or statutory licence. Practitioners must work within the laws and professional scope applicable in their own country or jurisdiction and may not diagnose medical or veterinary conditions unless independently qualified and legally authorised to do so.

Do I need professional insurance?

Certified practitioners should maintain appropriate professional insurance and are responsible for meeting any legal, regulatory and insurance requirements applicable in the country where they practise.
